High Noon Interior Design Blog

With the cooler weather coming on I am ironically lusting after flowers and raw materials for my house. At the moment I am revamping my office space and creating a more relaxed environment that I actually want to be in as opposed to having to be. Smaller space offices can be utilised for maximum space by incorporating trestle tables shaped to the wall like a long L. Trestles can be made with anything. The best if you like rustic looking tables is to use old timber trestles that are lying around and place a top on for the desk  - you can be as versatile as you like with table options. I have seen doors used, pieces of ply, raw timbers - the sky is the limit. Dont be afraid to be creative. You'll love the finished product so much more if you have a go at it yourself. x

Have you thought about using Garlands or Wreaths on your dining table? I have some on order for the store, which I am planning to use as a centerpiece at Christmas (I am always over thinking!). Wreaths are a great way to add a pop of colour to your table. Incorporate your Wreaths with Jute, Hessian and Calico. I will be using very old cutlery that I sourced from a second hand shop as an added feature on the table. They are so old school and heavy, I cannot wait to have them out. I am waiting on an order of linen duck blue napkins and once I have them I wiill do a table setting for you to give you an idea of what you can use and what can be created.  Dont be afraid to experiment with any fabrics and I encourage you to explore second hand shops for old cutlery. You will notice the difference compared to the regular everyday cheapies. x

Light bulb vases! What a fantastic way to add a touch of the unordinary to your home! I currently have old fashioned industrial style light bulb vases on their way to me for the store. I am really excited about  having these in stock and looking forward to incorporating them into the homes that I will working on in the coming months. You use these by tying a small piece if twine to the top of the bulb and securing to hooks. I will show you more images of these once they arrive. I love them already and I am sure you will too! x
